SCRIPT AND BIBLE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST

This script succeeds at subverting a lot of television conventions, particularly in its use of romance. The handling of Julie’s bisexuality and the subversion of Serannes’ betrayal instead of being a romantic interest feels timely yet also fits in within the setting’s era. This makes for a fun update to a time period that usually gets depicted in a cookie cutter manner.
— Screencraft
This is a truly delightful script. The characters are incredibly well developed, the dialogue is thoughtful, the concept is wonderful and the plot is well constructed.
— Launch Pad, by The Tracking Board
It is great that this pilot is about a female character who is queer and strong. Julie is not vulnerable — she is a heroine that audience members can admire and look up to.
— WeScreenplay
A fun creative historical story... a great ensemble of supporting characters, each with their own problems, to provide future plots and further conflict.
— Slamdance
The script is superbly written, from the first scene to the last. The scene descriptions are evocative and efficient, deftly plunging us into the world of seventeenth century France. The writing never gets bogged down by the setting — it maintains the feel of the period without sacrificing clarity.
— BlueCat Screenplay Competition
The world of this script is really fun, and you do a great job to immerse us in the story right away. Julie is a compelling character, and the dynamics you set between her and the other characters, particularly Faye, Serannes, and Pierre are already very intriguing in the pilot, which makes us want to continue reading. Also, the episode ends on a great beat
